Privacy policy

What we collect, and why.

Plain English, no surprises. Last updated 13 September 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by Maxtreme Cleaning Services Pty Ltd (ABN 73 665 795 086), a cleaning company based in Dandenong, Victoria. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what happens to it.

Quote requests

When you ask for a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address, the service and property size you choose, your preferred date and anything you type in the notes. We use it only to prepare your quote and, if you book, to do the job.

Quote requests are delivered to our booking system, UseFlow, which stores the request and sends the confirmation email to you and the alert to us. Our team is notified on their phones when a request arrives. We keep quote details for as long as we need them to provide the service and meet our record-keeping obligations. We never sell your details or use them for marketing you did not ask for.

Analytics

We use three tools to understand how people use the site so we can make it better.

  • Our own analytics. Records the pages you view, how far you scroll, which buttons you press, the type of device and browser, your approximate location from your IP address (city level), and how long you stay. Your IP address is hashed before it is stored and the raw address is not kept. You are identified only by a random number saved in your browser, never by name.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Records how visitors interact with pages, including session replays, heatmaps, clicks and scrolling. Clarity masks the text you type into forms. Microsoft may use the data it collects for its own purposes as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Google Analytics 4. Counts visits, traffic sources and interactions. Google processes this data as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

We look at this information in aggregate to see which pages help, which do not, and where enquiries come from. We keep our own analytics for up to 12 months and summarise it after that.

Cookies and similar storage

The site stores the following in your browser.

  • mx_vid and mx_sid: random identifiers for our own analytics. The first lasts until you clear your browser storage, the second until you close the tab.
  • _clck and _clsk: set by Microsoft Clarity to recognise a returning visitor and to stitch a visit together.
  • _ga and _ga_*: set by Google Analytics to tell visits apart.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site keeps working without them. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as if they had declined.

Who else sees information

The website is hosted by Vercel and our analytics database runs on Neon, both in the United States, so the information above is stored overseas. Microsoft and Google process analytics data on their own infrastructure. Each provider publishes its own privacy policy: Vercel, Neon, Microsoft and Google.

We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it or you ask us to, for example when you want a carpet cleaning receipt sent to your agent.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Email info@maxtremecleaning.com.au and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle a complaint you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
